Mary Ruth Hay
Mary Hay, age 69, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 30, 2024, surrounded by her loving family at Froedtert Hospital, Menomonee Falls, WI, after a brief illness. She was a beautiful person, inside and out, filled with love that she freely shared with family and friends.
Mary was born on December 26, 1954, in Stevens Point, WI, to parents Harlan C. and Ann (Sullivan) Robinson. Mary attended and graduated top of her class from Almond Public School in Almond, WI. After graduation, Mary worked in the potato industry for several years, from working at Central Sands Produce to co-owning a potato packaging and shipping operation and a farm growing potatoes and other crops and being a well-respected potato broker.
Mary is survived by her husband of 36 years Wayne Hay. One son, Shawn (Linda) Bartsch, and two beautiful granddaughters Keira and Keighly. Mary adored her precious granddaughters and did her best to spoil them.
Three brothers further survive Mary, Ponch (Rita) Robinson and George (Jane) Robinson of Plainfield WI., Jim (Dawn) Robinson of Nekoosa WI, three sisters, June Polus of Ripon WI, Ginni (Joe) Hoinacki of Berlin WI, Peggy Otto of Almond Wi. Mary is survived by her mother-in-law Charlotte Soderbloom, Crystal Falls, MI sisters-in-law Sandy (Tom) Niemela of Kingsford MI, and Nancy (Bob) Shovald of Crystal Falls, MI. Mary is survived by cousins, nieces and nephews, her parish family, and many friends.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, one brother ( John), and her grandparents.
A visitation for family and friends will be held on Saturday, December 14, 2024 at Pilgrim United Church of Christ, 1621 2nd Ave, Grafton, WI 53024, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:45 a.m. A service will be held on Saturday, at the church at 12:00 p.m., followed by a light lunch in the lower level of the church in Kalweit Hall.
Mary was a Christian woman who loved her lord. She lived her life being kind, caring, and giving to all who met her. Sweet Mary, we are sure your life journey has ended in heaven, in the arms of the Lord.
