Mary Aileen Armbruster died Sunday, October 31, 2010 with her family at her side. She was born on January 21, 1923 in Long Lake, Wisconsin to Otto and Frances (nee McGuine) Behnke. Mary Aileen grew up in Iron River, Michigan and later graduated from Marquette University in 1943. Robert Armbruster and Mary Aileen Behnke were married on May 21, 1949. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Robert Armbruster, daughter Joan (Steve) Shipman of Weston, CT, son John (Patricia) Armbruster of Cedarburg, daughter Wendy (Ben) Diaz of Folsom, CA, and son Peter (Therese) Armbruster of Milwaukee. Loving grandmother of Stephen, Robbie, Michael, Anna Marie, Alina, John, Peter, Benjamin, Megan, Tyler, Leah, and Cassidy. Mary Aileen worked at Armbruster Jewelers in Cedarburg until the time of her death. She was active with various organizations in the Cedarburg community. She enjoyed travel, playing bridge, and genealogy. Mary Aileen will be missed greatly. May she rest in peace.
