Martin Gyorgy

Martin Gyorgy, of Sussex, passed away Friday, December 25, 2020 at the age of 93 years. Beloved husband of Olga for 66 years. Wonderful papa to Mary (John) Zolinski and Marty Gyorgy. Grandfather to Christopher (Amanda) Hauglie, Marty (Bonnie) Gyorgy, Adam (Amber) Zolinski and Amy Zolinski. Great-grandfather to Caleb, Leah, Jonah, Brooklyn, Marty and Cooper. Martin was born in Hungary and after World War II moved to Germany. Martin then immigrated to the United States in the 1950’s where he met Olga in New Jersey. Martin and Olga were married in New Jersey and moved to Wisconsin where they set their roots and raised a family. Martin enjoyed road trips with the family to National Parks, Canada and Northern Wisconsin. Martin also enjoyed fishing, golfing, gardening and bird watching. Martin retired from Milwaukee Electric Tool. Martin will be greatly missed by family and friends, as he had an optimistic outlook on life, a great sense of humor and a kind heart. Private Services will be held at Wisconsin Memorial Park due to the ongoing pandemic. A Celebration of Life will be held at a future date.
