Memorials Services will be held Saturday, August 8, 2015 at 2:00pm at First Immanuel Lutheran Church, W67N622 Evergreen Blvd. in Cedarburg for Marshall R. Filter who passed away peacefully at Aurora Medical Center-Grafton on Friday July 31, 2015 at the age of 83 years. Visitation will be held on Saturday at church from 1:00pm until the time of Services. Memorials to the Ozaukee County Humane Society or the charity of your choice appreciated. Marshall was born on January 13, 1932 in Thiensville, WI, the son of the late Walter and Clara (nee Scheffler) Filter. Marshall was in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a proud Veteran. He married Audrey Lueders on May 3, 1952 and they were blessed with 2 daughters. Marshall was a simple man who was an avid fisherman and loved feeding and watching the birds. You could say Marshall was a bird enthusiast. He was the Head Custodian at the Mequon/Thiensville School District, a member of First Immanuel Lutheran Church and was a volunteer at Lasata Care Center, which was very important to him. Marshall will be missed by his dog, Sadie the boxer. Marshall is survived by his wife of 63 years, Audrey, daughters; Terry (Michael) Esterday and Mary Kay Carron, grandchildren; Andrew (Lucy) Esterday, Blake Esterday, Rachel Esterday, Lindsay Carron and Benjamin Carron, other relatives and friends.
