Marlene C. Wegner

Marlene Wegner of Grafton was born to Eternal Life on Saturday, February 22, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

Marlene was born 12-27-1933 in Grafton, the daughter of the late Math and Theresa Hollrith. She was a graduate of Grafton High School, and married the love of her life, Marty Wegner. They moved to Florida for 4 years while he was in the Navy. They then returned to Grafton where they raised their family in the home that they built together. They were married 1 month shy of 70 years when our Dad passed away.

Marlene was very independent and was the most organized homemaker, nothing was ever out of place. She was the true heart and soul of our family. She was the center of all our family gatherings, our advisor, our cheerleader, and friend. An amazing and thoughtful wife, mom, mother-in-law, grandma and great-grandma, and friend to many. She was a great cook, baker, and a master of quilting, cross stitch, and many other crafts. We are all so happy to have the many items that she has created over the years.

She was a die hard Wisconsin sports fan. Always following the Packers, Brewers and Bucks. She had more knowledge of all the players and teams than most of her children combined.

She is survived by her six children, Dave (Sandy) Wegner, Grafton, Nancy (Cedarburg), Mary (Doc) Klotz, New Franken, Liz (Scott) Kosidowski, Grafton, Jeff (Laura) Wegner, Grafton, Jenny (Michael) Mills, Greenfield. Along with her cherished grandchildren, Stephanie (Dillon) Wegner, Minneapolis, Kevin (Allison) Wegner, Wauwatosa, Kimberly, Zachary and Claire Kosidowski, Grafton, Nathan Wegner, Milwaukee, along with her precious great grandson, Walter.

She was preceded in death by her beloved Marty, infant son Douglas, her parents, her brother Marvin, and many relatives and friends.

We will miss her immensely, but take comfort that she is at peace and back with our Dad. We will continue to carry on all of our family gatherings and traditions so we can add to the many memories we have in our hearts. We love you Mom.

We would also like to thank the Doctors and Nurses at Aurora Grafton, 3rd Floor West. The special care you gave to our mom, and to our whole family is beyond words. You are all truly angels, we can’t thank you enough.

Private inurnment will be held.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Family Sharing of Ozaukee County in Grafton, or St. Joseph’s Parish in Grafton.
