Marlam June Karnish of Cedarburg, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 13, 2016, at the age of 85 years. Marlam was born in New Jersey, on April 9, 1931, the daughter of the late Lambert and the late Mary (nee Voiten) Mills. She was later united in marriage to Conrad Karnish on June 9, 1951, in New Jersey. Marlam shared her love of literature and pen as a dedicated English teacher for the Port Washington School District. After retiring from teaching she started a second career as an educational tour guide and travel agent leading fellow teachers around the world. Her love of travel morphed her career path again when she became a cruise specialist organizing and exploring exotic locations. Marlam is survived by her husband Conrad of 64 years; children: Christopher (Karen Paschke) Karnish and Catherine (Jim) Azzalino; grandchildren: Katie (Adam) Kramschuster, Geoffrey Karnish, Lisa Karnish, Emily Azzalino and Adam Azzalino; great-grandchildren: Jack, Noah and another on the way; siblings: Carol Gallas and David (Paula) Mills. She is further survived by other relatives and friends. Marlam was preceded in death by her son Conrad Allen. A funeral service will be held on Monday, April 18, 2016 – 6:00 PM at the Mueller Funeral Home (W63 N527 Hanover Ave.), Cedarburg. The Family will receive friends on Monday, April 18, 2016, at the funeral home, from 4:30PM until 5:45PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials will be used for a scholarship in Marlam’s name or the Peter Wollner American Legion Post #288 of Cedarburg.
