Mark A. Trede, born on October 26, 1949, in Peoria, Illinois, passed away peacefully on January 21, 2025, at Lawlis Family Hospice in Mequon, Wisconsin. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and brother and his loss will be keenly felt by his family and many friends.
Mark dedicated much of his professional life to the accounting field, working for a series of area businesses. His education included a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Carthage College, which laid the foundation for his hardworking approach to life. Alongside his career, Mark honorably served in the National Guard, achieving the rank of second lieutenant before leaving the service in 1976.
Mark's passion for spending time with his loved ones, especially his son Joel, defined his life. He believed that family moments were invaluable and cherished time spent fishing and enjoying the outdoors. His love for the Chicago Cubs and the Bears fostered many memorable experiences, joining his son at multiple games and creating a bond that will be remembered fondly.
In addition to his adoration for his family, Mark had a vibrant personality marked by a good sense of humor. He delighted in hobbies such as reading about history, especially presidential history, collecting coins, and spending time up north. His love for pets, coupled with his appreciation for nature, contributed to the joy he found in daily life.
