Marjorie R. Gellert (nee Turner),
Passed away peacefully on October 5, 2024, at the age of 88. She was born on January 11, 1936, in Milwaukee to her late parents Charles M. Turner and Marie A. Turner (nee Gottschall). She was united in marriage to her beloved husband, James “Jim” Gellert.
Marjorie graduated Milwaukee East High School in 1953. She then attended the University of Milwaukee where she studied history, and she was a cheerleader for the sports teams. Before graduating, she met Jim at the university and soon after married in 1961. Marjorie and Jim both found their forever home in Grafton after moving from the East Side of Milwaukee. After moving to Grafton, she worked for Ma Bell telephone company for 17 years.
Marjorie had many hobbies, but her favorite hobbies were gardening and reading. Her and Jim were inseparable, they would do everything together and occasionally, they loved to fish and golf together.
Marjorie is survived by her husband of 63 years, Jim Gellert. She is further survived by her sisters-in-law, Alice Gellert and Diane Turner, along with many nieces, nephews, friends, and family.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Marie Turner, and two brothers, Charles Turner and Thomas Turner.
A visitation for Marjorie will take place on Tuesday, October 15, 2024, at Mueller Funeral Home in Grafton from 10:00 AM till 12:00 PM. There will be a burial immediately following the visitation at Wisconsin Memorial Park in Brookfield. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Alzheimer’s Association are appreciated.
