Marion L. Meyer

Marion Meyer, born May 19, 1933, passed away peacefully on August 8, 2024, surrounded by the love and comfort of her family. She was 91 years old.

Marion was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ralph Meyer, with whom she traveled the world - including all 50 US states - and shared a lifetime of love and companionship. Together they built a beautiful family, raising two cherished children, Jo Anne Kwiatkowski (adored son-in-law, Larry) and Bruce Meyer. Marion faced the heartache of losing her son, Bruce, and found comfort in seeing his wife, her cherished daughter-in-law, Connie, find happiness again in her marriage to Mark Schroeder.

As a grandmother, Marion was a beacon of love and joy to her five grandchildren and their spouses: Joelle Kwiatkowski (Andrew Klevay), Joe (Jhanna) Kwiatkowski, Amanda (Sven) Binder, Ashley (Paul) Krumenauer, and Michael (Victoria) Meyer. Her heart overflowed with pride for each of them, and she cherished every moment spent with them. Marion was also a devoted "Gigi" to ten great-grandchildren: Charlie, Liam, Noah, Ezra, Scarlett, Alaina, Olivia, Adeline, Simon, and Isabelle. Her face would light up at the mention of their names and her legacy of love will continue to shine through them.

Survived by her sister, Joyce Lueder, and her brothers: Leroy (Anna) Lueder, Charles Lueder, and James (Joanne) Lueder, Marion’s deep affection extended to all of her siblings, nieces, nephews, cousins, and countless friends whom she loved throughout her life. Her role as a long-time secretary at Homestead High School made her a treasured figure in the community and she remained active with the Cedarburg Senior Center and St. John’s Lutheran Church.

Marion was a woman of quiet strength, boundless love, and unwavering dedication to her family, friends, and community. Her life was a testament to the power of selflessness and the joy of giving, evident through her extensive charitable efforts, including knitting hats for newborns, donating blood, and supporting the Ronald McDonald House. Her kindness and generosity left a mark on all who had the privilege of knowing her. She will be deeply missed.

A celebration of Marion's life will be held where family and friends will gather to honor her memory and share stories of the remarkable woman she was. The celebration will take place on Saturday August 17, 2024, at noon at Mueller Funeral Home, Cedarburg, WI. Interment immediately following the service at Immanuel Cemetery, Cedarburg. A visitation will be held on Saturday, at the funeral home from 10:00 AM until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Ronald McDonald House or the American Cancer Society, causes that were close to Marion's heart.
