Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, December 20, 2018 at 11:00am at St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church North (1375 Covered Bridge Road, Cedarburg) for Marian Piwoni. Visitation will be held at the Cedarburg Mueller Funeral Home W63 N527 Hanover Avenue on Wednesday December 19, 2018 from 4:30pm to 7:00pm and Thursday at church from 10:00am to 10:45am. Interment will be at St. Francis Borgia Cemetery, Mequon. Memorials to the family for a charity of their choice appreciated. Marian Piwoni of Cedarburg passed away peacefully at Lawlis Family Hospice on December 9, 2018 at the age of 94, surrounded by family. She was born in Milwaukee on October 19, 1924 to the late Eleanor (nee Pohl) and Ferdinand Bingenheimer. She graduated from Rufus King High School in 1942 and afterwards attended cosmetology school. In 1950, she married Thomas Piwoni at St. Elizabeth's Catholic Church. Marian was a resident of Cedarburg and a member of St. Francis Borgia parish for over 60 years. After many years as a full time homemaker, she was employed at Lasata Care Center for 17 years and retired in 1990. She also worked part-time at Jean's Beauty Salon for many years. Besides spending time with her children and grandchildren, Marian enjoyed traveling, gardening, music, and participating in many social activities at the Senior Center. She sang with the senior chorus well into her 80's. Marian is survived by six of her ten children, Mark (Rita), Mary Hamelink, Susan Mortensen, Catherine Piwoni, Peter (Pam Vroman), Michael (Kristi) and daughter-in-law Diane Piwoni. She is further survived by one sister, Ruth Wortman, 14 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, four beloved sons Jerome, Robert, Leon and Thomas, dear grandchildren Elicia Piwoni and Brandon Flanagan, a sister Eleanore Roesler, and brothers Roger and Eugene Bingenheimer.
