Margaret Nadean “Dean” Rupert (nee Brown), aged 91 years, beloved wife of Richard Pasteur Rupert, and loving mother of Beth, Susan (Marlane) and David (Jeff), passed away on Monday, July 16, 2018 at the Lawlis Family Hospice (Horizon) Columbia St. Mary’s Hospital-Ozaukee. Dean was born on June 17, 1927 in Peoria, Illinois to James and Winnifred (nee McGee) Brown. Her father James passed away in 1932, and Winnifred married Charles Frederick Gildon, who was a step father to Dean. She graduated from Milwaukee’s Lincoln High School in 1945 and lived on Milwaukee’s East Side where she met her spouse, Richard, and they married October 6, 1956. Dean and Richard cherished each other, and celebrated 61 years of love and marriage. Dean worked for Wisconsin Bell for 40 years, retiring from their Engineering Department in 1982. She then worked for Cedarburg High School for 11 additional years. A member of First Immanuel Lutheran Church, Dean was also very committed to community service and was always known as a gracious and caring friend. Dean’s mother, Winnifred, lived with and cared for the family throughout her own retirement years, and Dean remained very devoted to her until her passing in 1998. Dean is preceded in death by her parents, a brother who died at birth, and siblings (Charles, Fred, Cyril, Leonard, Dorothy and Rita nee Gildon). Dean is survived by her spouse, Richard, 3 children and many loved ones including grandchildren Gene (Tammy) Sedlacek, Erin (Tim) Witte and Rory Reding, great grandchildren Brandon, Kelsey (David) Schmidt), Ainsley, Alex, Caitlyn, Aidan, and great-great grandchild, Charleston. Dean also leaves behind many lifelong loving friends and cherished memories of Milwaukee and Cedarburg. Services will be held on Friday, July 20, 2018 – 11:00 AM at First Immanuel Lutheran Church, W67N622 Evergreen Blvd, Cedarburg, WI, 53012. Family will receive friends at the church on Friday from 10:00 AM until time of service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Cerebral Palsy Foundation, 3 Columbus Circle, 15th Floor, New York, NY, 10019 (donate.cerebralpalsyfoundation.org).
