Margaret A. Haugstad

Margaret Ann Haugstad of Grafton formerly of Cedarburg passed away on October 17th, 2023, at the age of 83 years.

Ann was born in Oakland, Nebraska on August 15th, 1940, to the late Arthur and the late Margaret (nee Daly) Easter and married Thomas R. Haugstad on November 27th, 1971, in Brown Deer, WI.

Ann was a member of Chapter L PEO for over fifty years. She was a member of Eastern Star Ozaukee Chapter and the Mequon Women’s Club. She retired from Milwaukee Public Schools after teaching kindergarten for thirty-one years. Ann and Tom spent their winters in Sun City West, AZ. She was also a long-time active member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Cedarburg.

Ann is proceeded in death by her husband Thomas Haugstad of forty-one years and her sister-in-law JoAnn Easter. She is survived by her daughter Allison (Nick) Anschutz of Wind Lake; grandchildren Evan, Alex and Ella, a brother James (Janet) Easter of Sun City West, AZ, and a brother John (Peggy) Easter of Medford, Oregon. Further survived by a brother-in-law, sister-in-law, nephews, nieces, other relatives, and friends.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 2, 2023, at 5:00pm, at Trinity Lutheran Church, N60 W6047 Columbia Rd., Cedarburg. A visitation will take place on Thursday, at the church, from 3:00 PM until 4:45 PM. A graveside service will be held on Friday, November 3, 2023, at 12:00 PM at Riverside Cemetery, Black River Falls. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Trinity Lutheran Church are appreciated.
