Lucille M. Ernst

Lucille M. Ernst (nee Staus) of Cedarburg passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday December 14, 2011 at the age of 84 years. Lucille was born on May 2, 1927 in Hartland, WI to the late Walter & Anna (nee Schlafer) Staus and married Elroy Ernst on November 26, 1949 at St. Paul’s United Church of Christ in Erin, WI. Lucille was a long time active member of Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church in Freistadt. She was also active in many card clubs and domino clubs. She also enjoyed ceramics and needle point. She is survived by her husband Elroy of Cedarburg, children; Wayne of Cedarburg, Douglas (Karen) of Mequon, Susan (James) Grube of Cedarburg, Sally (Ronald) O’Neill of Grafton and Laureen Ernst of Cedarburg, grandchildren; Kelly (Kane) Jowers of Brookfield, Tracy Ernst of West Bend, Heidi (friend Carlos) Ernst of West Allis, Ted Grube of Cedarburg, Joe (Theresa) Grube of Cedarburg, Patrick Grube of Madison, Jody Spitler of Port Washington, Katherine Spitler of Cedarburg, & Stacy Spitler of Port Washington, great grandchildren; Taylor & Luke Jowers, Hailee Ruiz and Riley Loper, brothers; Edward & Howard Staus of Hartland and sister Beatrice (Russ) Kulick of Sussex. She was preceded in death by one brother Wes. She is further survived by other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held on Saturday December 17, 2 PM at Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church Freistadt, 10729 W. Freistadt Rd. Mequon. Interment church cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday from 11 AM – 1:45 PM. Memorials to Trinity Ev.
