Lucille J. Hilgart “Lucy” (Nee Schwenner) of Grafton, died peacefully surrounded by her family at Lawlis Family Hospice on Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at the age of 89. Lucy was born in Port Washington, WI on May 18, 1928 the daughter of the late John and Amanda (Nee Paulin) Schwenner. On June 15, 1968, Lucy was united in marriage to James L. Hilgart at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Grafton. Lucy’s favorite pastime was spending time with her family, especially the grandchildren and great grandchildren. Lucy is survived by her husband James; Children: Nancy (the late Geoffrey) Sewell, Peter (Mary) Gramoll, Scott (Julie) Gramoll, James W. (Gina) Hilgart, Michael (Cathy) Hilgart and Robert (Kelly) Hilgart; grandchildren: Daniel (Kim) Sewell, Lisa (James) Murphy, Amanda (Sal) LoCoco, Katherine (Craig) Dunfee, Matthew (Elisabeth) Gramoll, Molly Gramoll, Sara Gramoll, Alannah Hilgart, Teaghan Hilgart, Isabell Hilgart, Jacob Wandel and Ryan Wandel; 14 great grandchildren; sister: Mary Ellen (Jerald) Biever; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Lucy was preceded in death by her first husband: Walter W. Gramoll Jr.; siblings: John Schwenner, Leroy Schwenner, Arthur Schwenner, Florence Schmit and Doris Duffy. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, April 9, 2018 – 4:30 PM at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Grafton with Fr. Mike Barrett officiating. Visitation will be held at the church on Monday from 1:30 PM – 4:15 PM. Interment Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Joseph Catholic Church or School are appreciated.
