A funeral service was held on Saturday February 2, 2008 12NOON at First Immanuel Lutheran Church, Cedarburg for Louis H. Sauer, 88, of Cedarburg who died on January 30, 2008. Interment was at Zur Ruhe Cemetery. Visitation was held at the church Saturday February 2, 11AM until time of service. Memorials to First Immanuel Lutheran Church appreciated. Online condolences may be sent by visiting www.muellerfuneralhome.com Louis was born in Milwaukee on December 26, 1919, to Hugo and Clara (nee Hoehn) Sauer. In 1948, he married Gerda Schaub. During WWII, Louis was active in the 91st Infantry where he drove truck and did radio repair. After military service, he worked for Harley-Davidson for 24 years. Louis was held in high regard for being a test driver for new prototype motorcycles and a mechanic. He also owned Karl and Louies Motorcycles in Allenton, WI for 5 years. Louis was a long time member of First Immanuel Church in Cedarburg. Louis is survived by his sister-in-law Mildred Schaub of Waukesha, niece Ruth Birkholz of Waukesha and dear friends, Bill and Jody Buss of Cedarburg. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Gerda, his parents, and his brother, Hugo. Mueller Funeral Home of Cedarburg assisted with arrangements.
