Lemke, Louis A. Of Mequon, Born to Eternal Life on Jan. 1, 2008 at the age of 94. Beloved husband of Ruth (nee Pipkorn). Loving father of John, Ralph (Mary), Ted (Sue) and Lauri (Tim) Thompson. Loving grandfather of Patrick Lemke, Kristin (Jim) Natalizio, Rick (Marsha) Lemke and Eric Lemke. Great Grandpa of Gianna, A.J., Talia, Joey and Maggie. Dear brother-in-law of Janet Pipkorn. Louis was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Freistadt. He twice served as president of the congregation and also served on many boards and committees. Louis founded Lemke Seed Farms in 1936 and operated the farm until his retirement in 1965. He was active in seed organizations and twice served as President of the Wisconsin Crop improvement Association. He was an active member of the Mequon Mens Club and spent 10 years on the Mequon Planning Commission. We would like to thank the nurses and caregivers at Lasata Care Center for the wonderful care Louis received the past 7 years. Funeral service on Saturday, January 5 11:30 AM at Trinity Lutheran Church, 10729 W. Freistadt Rd. Mequon. Interment Church Cemetery. Instate at the church 9:30 AM until time of service.
