Lois R. Strelecki

Lois R. (nee Fisher) Strelecki found peace on March 11, 2024, at the age of 81 years.

Lois was born on October 16, 1942, in Milwaukee, WI and grew up on the East Side of Milwaukee where she graduated from Riverside High School.

Lois was an avid gardener, and she was always happiest when Spring arrived, and she could watch her perennial flowers return and plant new seeds for the summer. Lois’ silliness and ability to laugh touched everyone she met. Lois loved her sweets and especially enjoyed Chunky Chips Ahoy cookies and chocolate, she also loved to travel and had many adventures including Hawaii and Las Vegas. Her passion for the outdoors provided many happy memories of time spent fishing and camping. Lois will be greatly missed by her deeply saddened family and friends.

Lois married Dennis in November of 1961, and their marriage was blessed with three daughters.

Lois is survived by her husband, Dennis Strelecki, daughters, Dawn (Joe) Gilbertson, Christine (Jeff) Dekanich, and Michelle (Scot) Fatla, grandchildren, Patrick (Christina) Gilbertson, Matthew (Nikia) Gilbertson, Darrin (Valerie) Petersen, Seger (Melissa) Petersen, Nick (fiancée Sarah) Fatla, Izzy (significant other Skyler) Fatla, great-granddaughter, Amara Petersen, sister, Cathy DiMucci, and brother, Johnny Fisher.

Lois was preceded in death by her parents, Ethel and Lewis Fisher, siblings, Carol Dennett and Robert Fisher, grandsons, Jeffrey Petersen and infant Paul Petersen.

A Celebration of Lois’ Life will be held at the Peter Wollner American Legion Post #288, in Cedarburg, on Sunday, April 7, 2024, from 1:00 PM until 4:00 PM with a service starting at 1:00 PM (arrival 12:45 PM) followed by celebration to share stories, memories, and refreshments.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the amazing team at Aurora Zilber Family Hospice. The loving care given to Lois and support for her family in her final days helped bring peace and comfort that cannot be measured.
