Lillian A. Otting

Lillian A. Otting, lifelong resident of Mequon, passed away on Tuesday, July 25, 2017, at Lasata Care Center, in Cedarburg, at the age of 89 years. Lillian was born on July 14, 1928, in Freistadt, the daughter of the late John Boehlke and the late Erna (nee Bartell) Boehlke. She attended Trinity Ev. Lutheran School and went on to graduate from Milwaukee Lutheran High School. Lillian was united in marriage to Donald Otting on August 6, 1949, at Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church, in Freistadt. Their marriage was blessed with two children, Kathleen and Andrew. Donald and Lillian were longtime members at First Immanuel Lutheran Church, where they both were active in various boards and organizations. Lillian is survived by her children, Kathleen (Ted) Bruskewitz and Andrew (Laura) Otting, grandchildren: Erin (Lotson) Oxford, Leah (David) Muir, Nora (Paul) Bylsma, Eli & Tessa Otting; great-grandchildren: Leighton and Lillian Muir, and John Oxford; siblings, Leona Lund, Alvin Boehlke, Carolyn Abbiehl, Fred (Arlene) Boehlke, and Neil (Diane) Boehlke; sisters-in-law, Lorna Boehlke and Ginny Boehlke, and brother-in-law, Palmer Groth. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Lillian was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Donald Otting, and her three siblings, Margaret Groth, Ray Boehlke, and John Boehlke. A Funeral Service will take place on Saturday, July 29, 2017 12 Noon at First Immanuel Lutheran Church (W67 N622 Evergreen Blvd), Cedarburg. Lillian will be in state on Saturday, at the church, from 10AM until 11:45AM. She will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband, Donald, at Graceland Cemetery, in Milwaukee.
