Leona Emma Klemp

Funeral Services will be held on Sunday August 1, 2010 at St. John Lutheran Church, 1193 Lakefield Road, Grafton at 2pm for Leona Emma Klemp of Grafton, WI who died Sunday July 25, 2010 at the age of 101 years. Interment Monday August 2 at 10:00am at St. Paul Cemetery in Waubeka, WI. Visitation at church on Sunday from 12:00 (Noon) until the time of Services. Memorials to the church appreciated. Leona was born in Waubeka, WI on April 3, 1909, the daughter of the late Ernst and Hulda (nee Kirchoffer) Bretschneider. She was 1 of 4 children. Leona married Oscar Klemp in 1929 and they were blessed with 4 children. Oscar died in 1982. Leona credits her longevity to her hard work. She was an avid baseball fan of the Milwaukee Brewers. Leona offered advice to her family, Learn how to get along with each other, forgive one another and love another, for life is too short. Leona is survived by her children; Evelyn Tetzlaff and Marvin Klemp, 17 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren and 20 great-great grandchildren, her sister; Mabel Haack, many nieces and nephews and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband Oscar, sons Donald and Norbert Klemp and sisters; Melinda and Helen.
