Lawrence Leo Whittle "Larry" Age 75, entered into heaven on Monday, October 25, 2010 at home surrounded by his loving family. Husband and best friend to wife Colleen of 53 years and loving father of Laureen (Tom) Deppisch, Katie Scheer, Susan (Dan) Reagin, John Lawrence (Lynn), Mary (Jim) Curtis and Erin (Scott) Jelden. Preceded in death by son Patrick Lawrence and daughter Teresa Whittle Monahan, parents John and Margaret Whittle and brother Patrick James. Loving grandfather to Jesse (Amanda) Larson, Matthew (Tera) Scheuers, Katie Monahan, Sean Monahan, Jack Lawrence Whittle, Sarah Scheer, Margaret Whittle, Patrick Whittle, Anna Curtis and Nolan Lawrence Jelden. Loving great-grandfather to Paige and Chloe Larson and step-grandfather to Jennifer Deppisch and Ashley Reagin. Loving brother to JoAnn, Catherine (Marvin), Michael and Robert Bob (Bonnie) and Uncle to many nieces and nephews and special uncle to Kevin Whittle. Lawrence was born on a farm in Arlington, Iowa on September 28, 1935. Lawrence retired in 2002 as President of Milport Chemical Company after 47 years of service. Lawrence is a U.S Army veteran and served for two years in Germany. His many hobbies included flying, gardening, farming, cheering for the Packers and Brewers, golfing and most importantly spending cherished time with family and friends. Larry grew the most beautiful hollyhocks which were enjoyed by the neighborhood. Larry is a member of St. Francis Borgia Church, Cedarburg and American Legion #288, Cedarburg. Larry has touched all of us with his kind heart, humor and wisdom. He will truly be missed and will forever be a part of our lives. Special thanks to Melissa and the VNA home hospice care team. Visitation will be Friday October 29, 2010 from 9:30am to 11:00am at St. Francis Borgia North Catholic Church (1375 Covered Bridge Road, Cedarburg) with Funeral Mass to follow at 11:00am. Private interment Resurrection Cemetery. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, memorials will be divided among St. Francis Borgia Church, Ozaukee County Humane Society or House of Peace. Cemetery: Private interment Resurrection Cemetery 9401 W. Donges Bay Rd.
