Sindelar, Kurt Michael
was a good man. He will be missed. He was born on December 21, 1949 and died on January 9, 2024---way too soon.
Kurt graduated from UWM with a degree in Economics. He worked at many jobs: welder, stadium beer seller, and mostly at Wisconsin Gas as a technician.
His work never defined him and he was an avid motorcyclist (BMW) a sailboat racer(Rapscallion was the name of his boat), a darn good chess player, digital artist and a tennis player. He was a reader of books, started a concept cafe at the library where philosophical topics were discussed, and had a wry sense of humor.
He is survived by his wife Mary Jo Kellogg Hansen, his step-son Alexander Hansen and his brother Mark Sindelar. We miss him greatly. He is also survived by many many friends who loved him over the years because he was a kind, smart, witty and generous man and are grieving his loss.
We would like to thank Village Pointe Commons Studios where Kurt lived his last year after his MS got the best of him. Contributions to the Multiple Sclerosis Society or to the Wisconsin Humane Society are appreciated.
A grand celebration of Kurt's life will be held at a later date.
