Kevin M. Sorge

Kevin Michael Sorge, 52, of Cedarburg, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, October 18, 2009. He was born on March 17, 1957, in Madison, Wisconsin. Kevin attended school at James Madison Memorial High School. He was self employed as a skilled carpenter and his beautiful craftsmanship will live on. Kevin was also an adept mechanic. Liked by everyone, there wasnt a thing he couldnt figure out how to build or fix. He was the friend and neighbor who would do anything for you. He was a talented musician and especially cherished playing the drums at his church, Praise and Worship Ministry. He enjoyed the company of family and friends, camping, fishing, mechanical work and the love of his children Angela (Tim Spinler) and Dustin Sorge and his step children Kyle, Katrina, and Courtney Smith. Kevin also enjoyed spending time with his grandson Dylan Swisher. He was an adored father and although he is at peace, he left us too soon.In addition to his children, Kevin is survived by his parents Dorothy M. and Michael F. Sorge; his sister Nancy (Dan) Shimeall and brother Ken; former wife Cheryl Stafford; and beloved nephews Bill, Joe, Chris (Jenny) Georgeson, and Charlie Shimeall. He is further survived by friend and former wife Sandra Daniel and many cousins and friends.He was preceded in death by his brother Michael David in 1958 and his grandparents. Visitation will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, October 22, 2009 at Monona Oaks Community Church, 6200 Monona Drive, Monona, WI until the time of service at 11:00am.
