Kenneth Martin

Kenneth Martin Went to be with his Lord on November 22, 2017, at the age of 90 years. Loving husband for 60 years to the late Janet Martin. Father of Linda (Leroy) Barth, Julie Martin, Renee (Mike) Klumb, Lori (Mark) Yakel, Randy (Beth) Martin. Proud grandfather of Lisa, Leann, Lannon, Lindsay, Aaron and Kelsey. Further blessed by 8 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild, other relatives and friends. Ken was born and raised in Amherst, Wisconsin. At the age of 17 Ken enlisted and served in the United States Navy during WWII. After a few years of marriage to Jan, they moved to Grafton to raise their family. They were long time members of St. Paul Lutheran Church and School. Ken owned Martin’s Jewelry in Grafton for many years. Ken continued to repair watches for Schwanke Kasten Jewelers in Milwaukee until his retirement. Soon after, Ken and Jan moved and became permanent residents of Bradenton, Florida. Ken enjoyed living there for 12 years with his wife and both were active members of Hope Lutheran Church. We take great comfort knowing he is reunited with our mother in Heaven. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends in both Wisconsin and Florida. A memorial service will be held on December 18, 2017, at 4:00 PM, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 701 Washington Street, Grafton. You are welcome to visit with the family, at the church from 2:00 PM until the time of service. A light supper will be served after, all are welcome. Any memorials will be divided between two of Ken’s passions, Hope Seeds (plant a seed and feed a soul) and a local Humane Society.
