Karen I. Johnson

Johnson, Karen I. (Griswold) nee: Fischer Karen, born in Wisconsin in 1939, rose joyfully into Heaven on September 21, 2020 to reunite with her late husband, Ronney E. Johnson (on what would have been his 94th birthday!); mom & dad, Max and Agnes I. (nee Petersen); only sibling Gary Fischer; nephew Terry, and other special relatives and friends who have gone before. For those left behind, she will be waiting for us. Karen cherished her family. She is survived by two children and their spouses, Ann I. (Greg) Denk and Andy T. (Laura) Griswold. Also survived by four handsome, talented grandsons: Aaron and Adam Denk, Caleb and Jesse Griswold. Special mom to Mark Johnson; Eric (Linda) Johnson and special grandma to their children, Denyelle and Clinton. Sister-in-law to Suzanne Fischer, Bernell (Tom) Albano and Jane Ann Lepak-Jostsons. Karen is also survived by her former husband Keith (Sandy) Griswold, and many other special friends! In addition to the memories made with family, Karen’s life included great experiences, friendships, and memories from Shorewood High School ’57; Job’s Daughters and Eastern Star; Wisconsin Electric Company; cruising the world with Ronney; her years in her own business as a successful event planner; Women’s FOCUS; and Grace Lutheran Church in Grafton. “Everyone Deserves a Happily Ever After” - Karen has earned hers! Memorial Service will be Held on Monday, September 28, 2020 - 2:00PM at Grace Lutheran Church 715 6th Ave. Grafton. Seating will be limited to approximately 60 people due to social distancing requirements. Family will receive friends at the church from 12:00PM - 1:45PM for visitation, masks are required.
