Jules A. Nelson,

Age 88, of Grafton, peacefully passed away surrounded by his loving family on October 29, 2023 at Newcastle Place in Mequon. Jules was born on April 1, 1935, in Crystal Falls, Michigan to the late Eino Nelson and Mary Nelson (nee Karnack). Jules was united in marriage with Shirley Nelson (nee Horneck) on August 4, 1956. Together, their 62 years of marriage was blessed with four children.

Jules worked many jobs, including Mercury Marine, Kiekhaefer, and Coca Cola delivery. After 42 long years of delivery for Coca Cola, he retired in 1999. Jules had many hobbies, including square dancing with his beloved wife, Shirley. He also loved to hunt, ATV, snowmobile, and fish in Michigan. Because of his amazing work ethic, he spent a lot of his time working on building a family cabin in Michigan, where the entire family would spend their summers and weekends. Jules had many interests, but his one true hobby was being a great husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather.

Jules is survived by his three daughters, Jodi Nelson, Lori (David) Overbye, and Julie (Richard) Schuerman; grandchildren, Diane (John) Perez, Tyler Videkovich, Alex (Sonya) Videkovich, Troy (Sarah) Videkovich; and great-grandchildren, Cody, Link, Luna, Charlotte, and another expecting in December. He is further survived by his brother, Leslie, sisters-in-law, Virginia Nelson, and Carol Horneck, one brother-in-law, Richard Horneck, and many nieces, nephews, friends, and family.

Jules in preceded in death by his wife, Shirley, siblings, Charles and Catherine, his beloved son, Robbie, and his parents Eino and Mary Nelson.

There will be a funeral service held for Jules at Mueller Funeral Home (979 N Green Bay Road, Grafton, WI) on Tuesday, November 7, 2023, at 12:00 PM with a visitation starting at 10:00 AM till service time. A burial will take place in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery in Crystal Falls, Michigan. In lieu of flowers, memorials of your choice are appreciated.
