Joy P. Schumacher, of Grafton, Passed away on Monday, July 2, 2018, at Cedar Springs Health and Rehabilitation Center, in Cedarburg, at the age of 89 years. Joy Was born on November 11, 1928, in Saukville, the son of the late Joseph Schumacher and the late Barbara (nee Weiss) Schumacher. He was united in marriage to Helen (nee Duchane) Schumacher on August 26, 1950. They were blessed with 3 children. Joy was a sports enthusiast. He enjoyed watching the packers, brewers and bucks. Joy used his love of sports to teach the Saukville little league baseball as an assistant coach for a number of years. He loved bowling and fishing. You could also find him tinkering with electronics in his spare time. Joy is survived by his beloved wife, Helen Schumacher, children: Judy (Dick) Helm, Thomas Schumacher and Lynn (John) Kuczmarski; grandchildren: Ryan Helm, Rickey (Katie) Helm, Laura (Jamie) Doneau, Mackenzee Kuczmarski, Kristin (Kyle) Smith and Jessica Schumacher; great-grandchildren, Allie Helm and Kalon Smith, and Sister, Betty (Bert) Kultgen. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. A Prayer Service with Communion will be held on Friday, July 6, 2018, 11:00 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Parish, (1619 Washington St.), Grafton. An inurnment will take place at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Saukville. The family will receive visitors on Friday, at the church, from 9:00 AM until 10:45 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Joseph Catholic Parish are appreciated.
