Joseph Edward Frede

Joseph Frede, aged 78, died at Highlands of Newcastle Place in Mequon, WI. on January 19, 2019. Joe was born in 1940 in Cincinnati, Ohio into a loving, wonderful family, the eldest of 5, with 3 brothers and a sister. He was married for 51 years that were filled with love, life’s wonders and changes. He loved his two sons and their wives. His four grandchildren were all cherished. He is deeply missed by his entire family. His lifelong appreciation of the Cincinnati Reds never waivered. It was a joy to have glimpses of the real Joe even as his condition gradually slowed his brilliant, inquisitive, and scientific mind. We have profound gratitude for all the large and small acts of kindness and love by The Highlands’ of Newcastle Place staff. Vitas Hospice gave compassionate and tender care, especially Chaplain Russell Hurst.. Their support gave Joe dignity and provided comfort to our family. Joe may not have said goodbye to everyone in his family and to his lifelong friends. He did lovingly speak of you often. He was grateful to be able to share laughter, conversation, and tender and loving moments with you. You meant the world to him.
