Holub, John W. JackMr. Holub was born July 25, 1931 in Wausau, WI, the son of Adolph and Margaret Holub. Born To Eternal Life November 22, 2008, age 77 years. Jack was preceded in death by his parents and 3 sisters, Margaret (Ellsworth) Bliss, Nan (the late Louis) Fahrner, Patricia (the late Loren) Brunsman, nephew Dr. Neil Lerner. Mr. Holub is survived by 13 nieces and nephews; Mary (Mike) Lerner-Gagliano, Jean (Steve) Adamczyk, Barb(Rudy) Kluz, Patty (Fred) Springer, Mike, Mary and Patty Fahrner, Peggy Klosinski, Kate Lingswieler, Ann Ventzke, Sue Richards, James Bliss and Jane Luedtke. Mr. Holub is survived by 31 great-nieces and nephews and 9 great-great nieces and nephews. Mr. Holub taught at Homestead High School in Thiensville-Mequon for 25 years, 2 years at Bloomer, WI and 1 year at Three Lakes and Randolph, WI. Jack was a past Secretary, General Service Representative and District Committee Member of District 27 of Area Seventy Five. He was active after his retirement with the Social Development Commission and worked on The First Call for Help hot line. He also collected food and clothing for Guest House, Hope House, Open Gate, Saint Bens Meal Site, United Migrant Opportunities Services and was also a member of the group that started the Walk A Mile In My Shoes program. Jack was also active at the Veterans Hospital with their Homeless Veterans Outreach Program for fourteen years. Jack worked with Operation Stand Down a program that assists homeless veterans. He also was a volunteer on the phone lines to assist those that needed food pantries. Mr. Holub was a Korean War Veteran and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars post 10171 of Grafton-Cedarburg. Jack will be laid out at the Mueller Funeral Home, Cedarburg on Friday November 28th from 4pm until the time of Rosary Service at 6:30pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday November 29th at ST. FRANCIS BORGIA SOUTH CHURCH, Corners of Washington Street and Hamilton Rd. at 11am. Please meet at church. Interment will be Monday Dec.1 at St. Joseph Cemetery in Wausau, WI at 12(Noon). Memorials: Jack has requested Memorials to the Covenant House (Shelter for Homeless Kids) Time Square Station P.O.
