John T. “JT” Hasley

Of Cedarburg, JT Hasley took his final ride on September 5, 2024, at the age of 68. Born on July 25, 1956, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to Charles and Mary (nee Singer) Hasley, JT grew up in Sapulpa, Oklahoma, before making Cedarburg, Wisconsin his home for the past 14 years. He married his cherished Rebecca (nee Foerst) on February 22, 2008, in Hawaii, with their son Jake proudly standing as the best man.

JT’s love for motorcycles began in his childhood, racing through the woods on his dirt bike with just a can of beans and a bedroll for camping. His mother always knew the boys were safe because she could hear their noisy bikes and knew they were having amazing adventures.

JT’s career was as legendary as his sense of humor. He started as a volunteer, serving as the ABATE Tulsa Chapter Director, was the Director of the Myers-Duren HOG Chapter in Tulsa, Oklahoma and the HOG Rally Coordinator for the State of Oklahoma. His dedication and passion led to him being tapped on the shoulder for his dream job as the West Coast Regional Manager for Harley Owner’s Group for 22 years. As a revered ambassador of the Harley-Davidson brand, he lived and breathed motorcycles, clocking over 1.2 million miles on his Harleys. If you ever passed a friendly guy on a Harley or shared a laugh at a gas station, chances are it was JT. Known by his road name “Joker,” his pranks and spellbinding stories left everyone with a smile and a handful of Harley pins.

JT was an incredible father, always checking to ensure the kids had their homework done and showering them with love and support from the road. He was also an amazing and loving husband, deeply devoted to his family.

When he wasn’t on the road, JT was in his garden, nurturing plants and riding his beloved John Deere tractor. He enjoyed a good Coors Light by the firepit and time with his family, whether camping, cooking, or road-tripping with chocolate chip cookies. JT was the handyman everyone relied on, always ready to help with a smile, asking only for firewood or a cold Coors Light in return. He had six motorcycles in the garage and loved choosing the best one for the trip.

JT is survived by his wife, Rebecca, his children, Megan (Joe) McGinnis, Megan’s mother, Pam Wilson, his son, Jake, his brother, Chuck (Linda), his granddaughter, Emily, and his favorite dog, Luna and new dog Skyler who he fondly referenced as the “Terrorist”. He will be deeply missed by many friends, family, and, of course, Coors Light. “If you knew JT, you would understand.” Thousands of dear friends in the motorcycling community meant the world to him; it was a ministry for him.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Mary.
