A memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday April 26, 2013 at 4 PM at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church 145 W. Church St. in Saukville for Joan L. Wheiland of Grafton who passed away on Friday April 19, 2013 at Select Specialty Hospital in West Allis at the age of 80 years. Family will receive friends at the church Friday from 2 – 3:45 PM and at the reception following mass. Memorials to the church or St. Vincent DePaul appreciated. Joan was born in Wauwatosa, WI on November 10, 1932 to the late Charles & Leona (nee Frey) Burbach and married John Wheiland on May 15, 1954 at St. Bernards Catholic Church in Wauwatosa. Joan is survived by her husband John of Grafton, children; Christopher of Milwaukee, John Jr. of Adams, WI, Joanne (Gary) Backhaus of Campbellsport, James (Judy) of Slinger & Joseph (Anne) of Slinger, grandchildren; Michael Wheiland of Oshkosh, Peter Wheiland of Wichita, KS, Heather Wheiland of Madison, Thomas Wheiland of LaCrosse, Kymber Wheiland of Slinger, Aaron (Jodi) Caprariello of Chicago, Teresa (Nate) Wieztort of Racine & Jason (Tracy) Backhaus of Marathon, FL, great grandchildren; Shanon & Josslyn Wieztort of Racine, brothers; Charles (Eleanor) Burbach of Wauwatosa, & Richard (Donna) Burbach of Plymouth, brother-in-laws Howard Meyers of PA, & Lee Sniegowski of Kenosha. She was preceded in death by one son Thomas, and 3 sisters; Katherine Meyers, Margaret Sniegowski & Carol Bath. She is further survived by other relatives and friends.
