Semmann, Joan (nee Bindrich) Found peace with her Lord and Savior on April 18, 2012 at Cedar Community in West Bend after an eight year journey with Alzheimer’s disease. Joan was born in Milwaukee on September 17, 1932 to Carl and Alma (nee Hilty) Bindrich. She graduated from Rufus King High School in 1950 and married Ronald Semmann on November 7, 1959. Joan was a lover of sports. She drove her 1958 Chevy to all of the Milwaukee Braves home games and also was a member of the Milwaukee Braves Auxillary. She was a season ticket holder for the Green Bay Packers and was an avid bowler. Joan enjoyed traveling. She visited many of the 50 states and frequented New York and Michigan to visit her niece, nephew and their families. Joan was very involved at Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church – West Mequon where she served as Ladies Guild secretary/treasurer. She was very proud of her family and enjoyed spending time with them. As Joan’s illness progressed, she moved to Cedar Community where her bright smile and sparkling eyes were a favorite of the staff on Sunrise Cove. Joan is preceded in death by her husband, parents, three siblings, daughter-in-law Jennifer and other family who loved her dearly. Joan is survived by her three children; Kathleen (Steven) Weston, Mark (Jeanette Kleinhans), and Steven (Andrea); her five grandchildren; Elizabeth, Christina, Jacob, Zachary and Noah, sister-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins. A private service and burial honoring Joan’s memory was chosen by her family. Memorials in Joan’s name may be made to Cedar Hospice or Cedar Community, 5595 Country Road Z West Bend, WI 53095 are appreciated.
