Joan D. Schultz

Joan D. Schultz (nee Eggert), of Cedarburg, passed away peacefully at Kathy Hospice, West Bend, WI and entered Eternal Life on June 8, 2024, at the age of 80 after many years of difficult health problems.

Joan was the second born child to her late parents, Armin Eggert and Ella (nee Lenz) in Watertown, South Dakota on October 2, 1943. She grew up in Cedarburg with her six siblings. She graduated from Cedarburg High School in 1962. Joan was united in marriage to the late Richard “Dick” Schultz on June 1, 1963, and was married for 43 years before Richard passed away. Together their marriage was blessed with three children, Thomas “Tom”, the late Kristin, and Katrina “Kate”. Joan worked at Meta-Mold for the first few years of her marriage. She became a full-time homemaker after they were blessed with their first child.

Joan enjoyed various hobbies throughout her life. She delighted in yard work and gardening. She also had a special eye for combining colors through painting. As technology advanced and her health declined, she turned towards digital drawing and painting to keep her mind active and busy. Joan was an investigator at heart and enjoyed digging into politics and the Bible.

Joan is survived by her two children, Thomas (Shelley) Schultz and Katrina (Eric) Schmickle; grandchildren, MacKenzie (John) Greenfield, Eli Schmickle, Jillian Brown, Gideon (Alia) Schmickle, Tirzah Schmickle, Abigail Brown, Riley Brown, Rivkah Schmickle, Zipporah Schmickle, Keziah Schmickle, Havilah Schmickle, and Aviyah Schmickle. She is further survived by four great grandchildren and her siblings April Kunick, Richard Eggert, Rex Eggert, Robert Eggert, and Jill Bertrand. She will be missed by extended family, nieces and nephews, and friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Richard, her daughter Kristin, her brother David Eggert, her parents, Armin and Ella Eggert, and other relatives and friends.
