Jessica L. Chermak

Jessica Lynn Chermak, “Jessie”, beloved daughter of Jim and Leslie Chermak died unexpectedly on April 13, 2015. She was 30 years old. Jessie was born March 9, 1985 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. After graduating from Grafton High School, she attended UW Madison where she earned a degree in Biology. During her senior year she studied Wildlife Biology while attending school in Melbourne, Australia. She went on to earn her Associate R.N. Degree in nursing from Cardinal Stritch University in Mequon, WI. She was planning a career in psychiatric nursing while working as a server at John Hawkes Pub in Milwaukee. She was passionate in her love for animals, especially for her two dogs Snookie and Bear. During her school years she was employed at the Ozaukee Humane Society. She enjoyed riding horses and graduated from the Horse and Pony project in the Ozaukee County 4H program. Traveling was another love, especially with her parents to Central America along with many trips to visit family members and friends across the country. Jessie is survived by her parents, her grandmother, Alice Chermak, aunts and uncles, Brad and Lynn Lasch, Chris and Pete Honzik, Ann and Don Zimmer and Tom and Mary Chermak. She is further survived by cousins Alison Coulson, D.J. Coulson, Sara Pillsbury, Jeff Zimmer, Katherine Zimmer, Betsy Chermak and Billy Chermak and her long time friend Kristin Steinert along with many other dear friends. Jessie was preceded in death by her grandmother, Dorothy Lasch and grandfather, Arthur Chermak. Memorial Service will be held at 6:00pm on Friday, April 17, 2015 at the Mueller Funeral Home & Crematory, 979 N. Green Bay Rd., in Grafton. The family will receive visitors on Friday afternoon 3:00pm to 5:45pm at the funeral home. Memorials in Jessie’s honor are appreciated and may be made to the Ozaukee Humane Society.
