Jeanne' R. Breitweiser

Jeanne’ Roberts Breitweiser passed away on March 25, 2015 supported by friends and family. She was born on June 23, 1930 to parents Dr. Williard Roberts and Verone Marquette Roberts. Splitting her young years between two beloved homesteads of Mequon and the Northwood’s of Lake Tomahawk she developed her passionate love of anything in nature, enjoying fishing, hunting, canoeing, snowshoeing, and skiing. She graduated from Cedarburg High School in 1950 and attended Monticello College for advanced education. In 1953 she married and had three children, Lynne, Karen and Karl settling in southern Illinois. She later divorced which redirected her life back to her roots in Wisconsin. She was a supportive, loving mother exposing her children to opportunities and activities. She loved celebrations and always planned elaborate Easter Egg Hunts in the barn, special birthday parties and decorated for every holiday. She loved gardening and ceramics. Jeanne’ was always passionate about people and community. Even in her later years when mobility was challenging she was always on the “go” participating when and where she could. She was a generous and thoughtful friend and an inquisitive and loving grandmother, always wanting to know about others. She blessed people with her wonderful sense of humor, hearty laugh and generous heart. She was an active member of First Immanuel Lutheran Church in Cedarburg where she attended weekly services and bible study. Her favorite flower was the yellow rose, which signifies joy, happiness and friendship. In spite of challenges, she participated in life at every turn with joy trying to bring happiness to others and was a dedicated and true friend; family and friends will dearly miss her. Jeanne’ was the beloved mother of Lynne (Ken) Vickerstaff, Karen (Jon) Whitehair, and Karl Breitweiser. Dear sister of Tom (Sylvia) Roberts, Sister-in-laws Betty Roberts, Helen Roberts and Marcella Wenzel. Further survived by three grandchildren Scott (Crystal), William and Maria. Loving Aunt to Greg and Charles, and will be missed by many friends. Special thanks from the family go to her supportive friends Cathy Klein and Lilly Wistoske. Jeanne’ was preceded in death by her parents Dr. Willard Roberts and Verone Marquette Roberts and brother James. In tribute to her love of animals and community events any memorials directed to the Ozaukee 4-H Foundation are appreciated.
