Janet F. Seaman Nee Fish

Janet Cutler Fish Seaman of Cedarburg, Wisconsin, passed away on November 25, 2009, after a brief battle with pancreatic cancer. She was 77 years old and is survived by her daughters Suzanne (Mark) Winkelman, Julie (Fran) Gennarelli and Amanda (Mark) Notz; her loving grandchildren William, Sara, Matthew, Katherine, Peter, Jackson and Cassie; her sister Anne Middleton; her many nieces and nephews; and her dear companion, Maurice. She will be deeply missed by all her family Born in 1932, daughter of Raymond T. and Mary (nee Cutler) Fish, Janet spent her early years in Greenwich, Connecticut and Quogue, Long Island. She was an avid sailor in her youth, and graduated from Rosemary Hall and later attended Connecticut College. She taught in Charlottesville, Virginia before moving to Bedford N.Y, followed by her move to Milwaukee (Bayside) where she could be close to her extended family. She worked in a wide variety of businesses over the years including book and antique stores, which cultivated her life long enjoyment of reading and collecting antiques. A move to Cedarburg 20 years ago gave her great joy, where she was devoted to her wonderful friends and neighbors and the supportive community of Cedarburg/Grafton. In lieu of flowers, donations are encouraged to the Doctors Without Borders, an organization she enthusiastically supported, or to the National Audubon Society in memory of her love of flowers and gardening and the joy she had of watching things grow. A memorial service will be held at St Christophers Church (7845 N. River Rd.), River Hills at 2:30PM on Saturday, December 5, 2009, with a reception immediately following at the Church.
