Janet A. Janus

Janet Janus (nee Engelmann) 84, of Grafton, WI passed away at home on November 1st, 2019. Janet was born on September 22nd, 1935 in Milwaukee Wisconsin. Janet attended Riverside High School and went on to become a Licensed Practical Nurse. Janet was united in marriage on August 29th, 1959 to Ronald Janus and they were blessed with three children. Ronald preceded Janet in death on April 12th, 1995. Janet was an avid gardener, traveler, and loved to cook. She also enjoyed her bowling leagues, bridge games, and time with friends. Janet was an active member at St. Joseph’s parish and spent many years washing linens, working at school lunches, and attending Friday Fish Fries. In 1997, Janet and friend Gloria Bosben started the Sociable Singles group. With help from others, they grew the group to just over 100 members that still meet regularly for dinners, activities, and parties. Janet’s greatest accomplishment was raising her 3 children and playing an active role in the lives of her 7 grandchildren. Janet is survived by her son Phil (Kathy) Janus, son Pete (Jackie) Janus and daughter Paula (Mike) Kopischkie; Grandchildren Ryan Janus, Ben Janus, Nathan Janus, Cody Janus, Cortney Janus and Melina Kopischkie; Great Grandchildren Alexis, Elijah, Davion, Sadie. Janet was preceded in death by her husband Ronald Janus and Granddaughter Callie Janus. Visitation will be held on Tuesday November 5th from 4-7pm at Mueller Funeral Home in Grafton. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday November 6th at 11am with a visitation at 10:30am at St. Joseph’s Church in Grafton.
