James M. O'Neil

James M. O’Neil Of Milwaukee, formerly of Cedarburg, died peacefully at Community Memorial Hospital in Menomonee Falls on September 8, 2016 at the age of 74. James was born in Milwaukee, WI the son of the late Fred and Pauline (Nee Groff) O’Neil. James was a member of the Cedarburg High School Class of 1960. James proudly served in the United States Navy from 1961 – 1964 and was a member of the Peter Wollner American Legion Post 288 in Cedarburg. James was a former employee of American Can Co. and also worked as a security guard at many facilities. James enjoyed building model Navy Ships, fishing, reading, watching the History and Military Channels and was an avid Green Bay Packer Fan. James is survived by his sister Kathy (Chuck) Thiele; children: Tim O’Neil and Tammy (Jack) Kaewpalug; Nieces and Nephews: John P. O’Neil II, Duane (Shawnna) Thiele, Kelly (Tom) Dennison, Chrissy Thiele (Aaron Zwiefel) and Cory (Tom) Schoofs. James is further survived by other relatives and many friends. James was preceded in death two brothers: Lynn and John. The family wishes to thank nurses and staff at The Villa at Bradley in Milwaukee for their loving care these past eight years. A funeral service will be held at Mueller Funeral Home & Crematory in Cedarburg on Wednesday, September 14, 2016 – 5:00 PM with Rev. John Norquist officiating. Visitation will be held on Wed. from 4:00 PM – 4:45 PM. Inurnment will be at Immanuel Cemetery in Cedarburg. Memorials to the Ozaukee Humane Society appreciated
