Irma W. Schoessow

Irma W. Schoessow of Mequon, passed away peacefully on Thursday March 12, 2015 at her home at the age of 99 years. Irma was born in Germantown, WI on March 15, 1915 to the late Herman & Mathilda Gierach and married the late Alfred Schoessow on July 10, 1937 at Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church in Freistadt. Irma was an active member in her church. She belonged to the Ladies Aid, Senior Citizens and attended bible study. She also loved to play cards and belonged to the Grafton Senior Center card group. Irma was talented in making quilts, stitchery, crocheting and embroidery. She also was head of the housekeeping department at Lasata Care Center in the late 1990’s. Irma celebrated her 100 years of life in heaven. She is survived by her children; Ron (Vicki), Marion (Dave) Fischer, Wallace (Linda), David, & Dennis (Sandy), sister; Gertrude Ernst, special friend; Marion Frenz. She is further survived by 14 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held on Thursday March 19, 2:30 PM at Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church 10729 W. Freistadt Rd. Mequon. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be at the church on Thursday from 12:30 PM until 2:15 PM. Memorials to the church appreciated. A special thank you to all of the nurses and health aides from Heartland Hospice and Home Instead Senior Care, especially Suzie, Natasha, and Christina, for all of their loving care that they provided to Irma and her family over the past year.
