Howard ('Red') Rinehart

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, June 16, 2010, at 2PM at Advent Lutheran Church, W63 N642 Washington Ave., Cedarburg, for Howard Red Rinehart, who died Saturday, June 12, 2010, at the age of 82 years. Visitation will be held on Wednesday at the church from 1PM until the time of Service. Interment Immanuel Cemetery. The Rev. Dr. Janis Kinens will officiate.Red was born in Chinook, Montana, on March 13, 1928, the son of the late Jacob and Eva (nee Adams) Rinehart. He was united in marriage to Marion (nee Rappold) on May 17, 1952, in at Immanuel Lutheran Church. Red served in the Marine Corps during World War II. Later he worked at Nash Motor Company in Milwaukee, and from there he went to Mercury Marine. Red later worked for his brother-in-law at television store. His last job was for Cedarburg School System as a janitor. Red liked to golf, garden and go camping. He also enjoyed being with his friends. Red, Marion and their close friend, Ruth, were very well traveled with some of the ports of call including Australia, New Zealand, Alaska, Greece and the Caribbean Islands. He also liked to read, especially enjoying his mysteries. Red also loved his dogs, Muffin, Harvey and Jetty.Howard is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Marion; and siblings Violet Rinehart, Delores (Ernie) Dietrich and Jack (Virginia) Rinehart. He will be dearly missed and remembered by his close friends Arliss and Les Steffen and Mike and Harriet Montaba. Red is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother. Memorials: Memorials to the Ozaukee County Humane Society or MABO Orphanage in Haiti through Advent Lutheran Church are appreciated.
