Howard L. Thiede

Howard Louis Thiede “Howie” Retired Police Chief of Grafton was Born to Eternal Life on August 20, 2022 at the young age of 89 years. Howard was born on December 7, 1932 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He joined the Marine Corp at the age of 18. Howie married Marilyn Driebel, his childhood sweetheart in 1954. Howard was a very hardworking husband, dad, grandpa and great-grandpa. He loved his dog, Ari; flower gardening and painting. Howard will be sadly missed his wife, Marilyn (nee Driebel) of 68 years, his loving children Renee’ (Don Walsh)Telindert, Rhonda (Wayne) Klug and Rochelle Frank, grandchildren, Nicole Strysick, Crystal (Nick) Pulos, Ashley (Jeff) Schuette, Jarrett Frank, Mitchell Frank, Logan Klug and great-daughters Ellie and Ava Schuette. He will also be missed by his nieces, nephews and a lot of friends. A special Thank You to Howard’s caregivers Debbie Owen and Amanda Moser, Hospice nurse Kayla and Kathy’s Hospice. Howard was preceded in death by infant son Randy; his parents Mabel and Louis Thiede, brother Harold Thiede, sister-in-law Eileen Thiede, sister Virginia Froh and brother-in-law Pete Froh. Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 25, 2022 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM at Mueller Funeral Home & Crematory 979 N. Green Bay Rd. Grafton. Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 26, 2022 – 11:00 AM at St. John Lutheran Church 623 Congress Dr. Newburg. Interment Church Cemetery.
