Howard F. Fischer of Kewaskum was called home to be with the Lord on May 9, 2024 at the age of 91. He was raised on a farm in Mequon by parents George and Mildred (nee Schmidt).
He had his own piano tuning business and drove school bus for over 50 years.
Howard was a wonderfully, talented musician. He was an assistant organist at First Immanuel Lutheran Church in Cedarburg. He was a member of the Elroy Benz and the Riverbend Playboys band playing the accordion. In addition, he assisted the Tony Rademacher band, playing piano. Howard brought much joy and fun to family and friend get-togethers by playing the accordion or piano.
He was an avid collector of antique farm machinery, Model T Fords, coin-operated machines and much more. Howard enjoyed tinkering with Tinker Toys and building with Erector sets. He also enjoyed time on the water in a non-motorized boat catching turtles and fish.
Howard was preceded in death by his first wife, Helen (nee Dziamarski) Fischer in 1980. They raised three children, Bonnie (Neal) Baudhuin, Julie (Roger) Burke and John (Tammy) Fischer. He married Dorothy Eifler (nee Sigmund) in 1982. Dorothy passed away in 2016. Howard is survived by his children, grandchildren; Keith (Natalie) & Christopher Tillmann, TJ (Heather) Burke, Ashley Vale (Jared Hunt), Matthew & Lillian Fischer and great grandchildren; Landyn, Lydia, Kalianne, Cade, and Braxton. He is further survived by relatives and friends.
The family would like to acknowledge John and Mary Meisser for their care, support, and friendship to our father. Howard truly enjoyed visiting with you.
A funeral service will be held at St. Lucas Lutheran Church in Kewaskum on Friday, May 17, 2024 at 6:00 p.m. Visitation will take place prior to the funeral service at St. Lucas from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. A private burial will be held on Saturday, May 18, 2024.
