Forster, Herman H. Herman H. Forster passed away peacefully, on February 24, 2015, at the age of 86 years. Beloved husband of Josephine (nee Bergmayr). Loving father of Herman (Ginger), John, Susan (Johannes) Hensoldt, Robert (Rosie), and Steven (Kerry) Forster. Loving grandfather to Andrew, Natalie (Kyle) Steffen, Christina (Jack) Renz, Mark (Lauren), Annemarie, Peter, and Adrianna Forster. Great-grandfather to Hugh, Jude, Beck, Annika, and Arya. He is further survived by other relatives and friends. Herman was born in Kapfenberg, Austria, on July 9, 1928, and came to Columbus, WI, in 1947, following his mother, who arrived there 10 years earlier. Looking for work, he relocated to Milwaukee, and met Fred Usinger at a party. Fred hired him on the spot. Herman also was a proof reader for the Deutsche Zeitung, a German newspaper. Herman joined the Wendlstoana Bavarian Schuplatting Club, where he held many positions including theater director and club president. He loved to sing, act, and dance. Herman also played the accordion. At one of the club’s social gatherings, he met Josephine, the love of his life. They were united in marriage on September 3, 1949, and spent 65 wonderful years together. Shortly after his wedding, Herman started working for the Pabst Brewing Company and was employed there until he retired 34 years later. He and Josephine spent their winters in Seminole, Florida, for 8 years, after his retirement, and then full time after that, until they relocated back to Wisconsin, in 2010, due to health issues. While in Florida, Herman loved to watch soccer games at the local high schools. An avid Green Bay Packer fan, Herman had season tickets for the Milwaukee games, and was at several playoff games and 2 championship games. A Memorial Service will take place on Friday, March 13, 2015, 11AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church, in Grafton, with the family receiving friends prior to the service, at the church, from 10AM until 11AM.
