Helen Marie Schumacher

Helen Marie Schumacher (nee Duchane) went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, December 15, 2022 at the age of 91 years. She was born November 11,1931 in Highwood, Illinois. Helen was united in marriage to Joy Schumacher on August 26,1950 in Saukville, Wisconsin. They were blessed with 3 children. She enjoyed cooking, baking and sewing clothing for her children and grandchildren. Helen also prayed the rosary every Wednesday night with the ladies at the Berkshire apartments in Grafton, where she resided.

Helen died peacefully surrounded by her children and grandchildren at Froedtert Menomonee Falls Hospital. She is preceded in death by her husband Joy and grandson Ryan.

Helen is survived by her children: Judy (Dick) Helm, Thomas Schumacher and Lynn (John) Kuczmarski; grandchildren: Rick (Katie) Helm, Laura (Jamie) Doneau, Mackenzee (Brad) Kuczmarski, Kristin (Kyle) Smith and Jessica Schumacher; great-grandchildren: Allie Helm, Kalon Smith, Harper Helm and Oaklyn Helm. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday June 3, 2023, 11:00 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Parish (1619 Washington St.), Grafton. Burial to follow with immediate family only. In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Joseph Catholic Parish are appreciated.
