Harvey Proefrock

Harvey Proefrock was called home by his heavenly Father on January 24, 2018, at the age of 80. He passed away peacefully with family at his side. Harvey was born in Menomonee, WI on December 10, 1937 to the late Edwin and Dora Proefrock. He spent his childhood on the family farm before meeting the love of his life. He married Loretta “Jeanie” Kulczyski on June 22, 1957 at St. Joseph’s Parish in Grafton, WI. Together, they enjoyed 53 years together. Harvey and Jeanie were blessed with four daughters in the early years of their marriage. Over the years, he enjoyed spending time up north in Carter, WI where he enjoyed fishing, hunting, and snowmobiling. Harvey also enjoyed watching Nascar races and Green Bay Packer football games. He was a talented woodworker, making many special things for his family. He will be remembered for being a kind, gentle, and patient man who was happiest when spending time with his family. Harvey is survived by his daughters Pam (Russ) Dobberpuhl, Carol (Brian) Anderson, and Bonnie Keller (Glenn Baumann); his grandchildren Joey (Christy) Wallock, Natasha (David) Irish, Jenny (Matt) Zarling, Jacob Keller, Stephanie (Chris Revello), Nathan Anderson, and Josh Keller; and nine great-grandchildren. He will be remembered and missed by his siblings Gerald (the late Darlene) Proefrock, Eugene (the late Beverly) Proefrock, and Carol (the late Victor) Lentz; and sister-in-law Mitzi Proefrock. He was preceded in death by his wife Jeanie Proefrock, daughter Patty (Joe) Wallock, and brother Donald (Mitzi) Proefrock. Visitation will take place at Mueller Funeral Home in Grafton on Saturday, February 3, 2018 from 9:00AM – 11:00AM, with a funeral service at 11:00AM. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to New Hope Church or to Ozaukee Family Services (885 Badger Circle), Grafton. The family would like to give a heartfelt thanks to the staff at Magnolia Hills in Grafton for all of their wonderful care. A special thank you to Allay Hospice, especially Cindy whose loving care of Harvey at the end of his life was deeply appreciated.
