Harvey E. Zacher, of Grafton, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Friday, June 26, 2015, at the age of 83 years. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Thursday, July 2, 2015, 1PM, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, in Grafton, with Father Mike Barrett presiding. Harvey will be in state, on Thursday, at the church, from 11AM until 12:45PM. He will laid to rest at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, in Grafton, next to his beloved daughter, Teri. In lieu of flowers, memorials of your choice are appreciated. Harvey was born on April 24, 1932, in Milwaukee, the son of the late Henry Zacher and the late Wilhelmina (nee Gosewehr) Zacher. Harvey served his country in the United States Army after being drafted in October of 1952. He was honorably discharged in September of 1954, after serving during the Korean Conflict. Shortly after his arrival back to the United States, Harvey was united in marriage to Barbara Carriveau, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, on November 13, 1954. Their marriage was blessed with three children, Tod, Tracy, and Teri. Harvey was employed by Continental Can, working as a spray machine operator, and retired in 1984, after 32 years of faithful service. He had many hobbies and interests throughout his life, but his true love was spending time with his family. Harvey is survived by his beloved wife, Barbara Zacher, children, Tod (Kathy) Zacher and Tracy (Bill) Johannes; grandchildren, Meghan Zacher, Michelle Zacher, Nikolina (Michael) Villarreal, Madison Johannes, and Noah Johannes; and sister, Marilyn Steffen. He is further survived by other relatives and friends. Harvey was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Teri Zacher, and siblings, Don Zacher, June Poppert, and Audrey Ziarek. He will be missed but never forgotten.
