Harry was born on September 26, 1928 in Cedarburg, Wisconsin to Joe and Grace Frank. He married the love of his life, LaVerne and together they raised five children and were blessed with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Harry had lived a very full life. He graduated from Cedarburg High School in 1946 and enlisted in the Navy that same year. While in the Navy, he was a radio operator stationed in Hawaii. After his time served, he returned to Cedarburg and worked alongside his father, becoming an electrician. He started H J Frank Electric and also pursued real estate interests during this time. He and his brother Bill, formed Frank Development and subdivided two developments, Rolling Glen and Spring Hill Subdivision, providing beautiful land to many family homes. Harry’s beloved home in Spring Hill Subdivision, where he built a covered bridge, smokehouse and a grand stone barn among acres of ponds and trees, continues to be enjoyed by many under new ownership. Harry’s electrical expertise also led him to develop different types of machinery and he holds several electrical patents for his designs. In addition to his electric and real estate interests, Harry also proudly served the Cedarburg community as a volunteer fireman. Harry retired in 1980 and this allowed an opportunity to devote more time to his many hobbies. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. He had a great love of horses and operated a hobby farm raising many different animals. As a passionate arborist, he grew and dedicated his time to a certified black walnut tree farm. Seeking alternate forms of energy, he built wind turbines to use as alternate power sources. Furthermore, Harry was skilled as a blacksmith, woodworker, winemaker and in his later years took up refurbishing antique radios, while holding a radio operating license. His expansive collection of radios was the subject of a documentary of which he was very proud. Harry loved to share his various passions with family and friends and took great pride in teaching others. Harry was not a fan of being idle, but he did make sure to make time for leisure as well. He and LaVerne loved to travel. They visited many different states, as well as Rio and Hawaii. They made many trips to Jamaica, which is an island Harry especially loved. He enjoyed long walks outdoors and spending time with friends. He was a very active Grandpa, attending events and ceremonies and helping with projects. He truly helped raise the next generation. Harry always lent a hand when help was needed, always going above and beyond. Harry was a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather and greatgrandfather. He will be immensely missed by his saddened family and friends, yet celebrated for the memories and the legacy he leaves behind. Proud father of Doug (Carol), Dave, Gale Ohde, Ron (Mari) and the late Mark Frank. Loving Grandpa of Kelly (Mike) Toryfter, Jeremy Frank, Danielle (Matt) DeLuca, Ryan (Morgan) Frank, Sidni, Jesse, Petyin and Jami Frank. Cherished GreatGrandpa of Conner, Stella, Shane, Parker, Miles and soon to be Baby Frank. Dear brother of James (Joyce) Frank. Further survived by other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by his siblings, Bernadine, Cecelia, Maxine, Ralph and Bill.
