Harold H. Steffen of Cedarburg went home to his Lord on Monday, July 09, 2012. Harold was born in the Town of Jackson on April 24, 1925 to the late Henry & Alma (Schultz). He married Patricia (Benning) on June 25, 1960 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Cedarburg. Harold was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church where for many years he played on the church Dartball team and taught Sunday School. He was also the Church Communicator for Lutheran Brotherhood / Thrivent. In his youth Harold was on the Shorty’s Artistic Roller Rink Speed Skating Team where he earned several medals. He was a graduate of West Bend High School Class of 1943. He joined the National Guard as a Radio Operator for the Armory, was employed by both Fromm & Pioneer Orchards and worked at Dehling Shell Station and Grafton Service. Harold was also employed at F.W. Busch Company for 24 years as a welder. In his retirement, he worked at the Clark Station in Cedarburg until it closed where he enjoyed chatting with his customers. He was on the committee that established the Ozaukee County 4-H Foundation and was a 4-H Leader for Town & Country and Fairway clubs as well as County 4-H leader for the snowmobiling project. Harold was a member and Treasurer for the Cedar Creek Snowmobile Club as well as a DNR Instructor for Snowmobile Safety for 36 years. He was a member and Treasurer of the local International Association of Machinist and Aerospace Workers Union. In his spare time he enjoyed working in his garden, hunting, fishing, boating, trail biking, and raising Brittany Spaniel hunting dogs and spending time with his family and friends and his four legged companion Riley. Harold is survived by his wife Patricia of Cedarburg, children: Suzanne Jochims (Michael) Flanders of Cedarburg, Jim (Coleen) Steffen of Port Washington, one brother Lester (Arlis) Steffen of Cedarburg. He is further survived by Grandchildren: James (Jesse) Jochims , Michelle (fiancé Ben Murach) Flanders , Christopher & Kyle Steffen and Great Grandchildren: Liam & Emma Jochims. He was preceded in death by his parents Henry & Alma and Brother Raymond Steffen. Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 15, from 1- 4:00 PM at Mueller Funeral Home, W63 N527 Hanover Avenue, Cedarburg, service at 4 PM. Memorials of your choice appreciated.
