Harold E. Klimke

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday October 17, 2007 – 2:30 PM at Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church, Freistadt, for Harold E. Klimke, 86 of Mequon, who died at Columbia St. Mary’s Ozaukee Campus on October 14, 2007. Visitation will be at the church on Wed. from 12:30 PM until time of service. Interment will be at the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church appreciated. Online condolences may be sent by visiting www.muellerfuneralhome.com Harold was born in Montello, WI on May 13, 1921 the son of the late Otto E. and Pauline (nee Kluth) Klimke. Harold was united in marriage on May 31, 1952 to Hilda Schoessow. Harold served in the United States Marine Corp during WWII in the South Pacific. He was a member and former commander of the Mequon-Thiensville VFW Post 9207 and a member of the Mequon American Legion. Harold was a retired member of the Mequon Police Reserves and an active member of Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church. His favorite pastimes included woodworking, fix automobiles, football, traveling for Marine Corp Reunions and most importantly his family. Harold is survived by his wife Hilda; children Joanne (Richard) Behling, Marilyn (James) Radtke, Carol Klimke and Laurel (Gerald) Wollin and the late Virginia (Darrell) Fletcher; Grandchildren: Sarah (Michael) Taraboi, Jason Behling, Matthew Behling, Scott Fletcher, Daniel Radtke, Rachel Radtke and Nicholas Wollin; great grandchildren Jacob Behling, Michael Taraboi and Daniel Taraboi; sister Dorothy Grant, Brother Eldon (Wilma) Klimke, Sister-in-laws Hertha (James) Bartlett, Darlene Schoessow, Melrie Schoessow and Myrtle Acterberg; Brother-in-law Norman (Carolyn) Abbiehl. Further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
