Gwendolyn G. Jackson

Gwendolyn Gaddy Jackson Of Cedarburg, went to the place that her heavenly Father has prepared for her, on March 9, 2018 at the age of 92 years. Born in Little Rock, Arkansas, Gwen lived with her family in Midland, Texas for most of her life. She spent the last twelve years living in Ozaukee County, Wisconsin. She was an active member of First Baptist Church in Midland for many years, finding a warm welcome at Crossroads Presbyterian in Mequon after she moved to Wisconsin. Gwen loved spending time with her adoring family, painting, teaching Sunday school, canning preserves, vacationing in the mountains of Colorado, sewing beautiful dresses for her granddaughter, and baking yummy pound cakes. She is survived by her sons: Joel Jackson, of San Antonio, Texas, and Jeff (Fran) Jackson, of Port Washington, Wisconsin; granddaughter, Lauren (John) Rasmussen, and great-granddaughter, Luca, of Amery, Wisconsin; grandson, Tyler (Jenn) Jackson, of Denver, Colorado; and step-daughter, Sylvia (Hal) Lear of Lexington, Virginia. Among those who preceded her in death were her beloved mother, Zelpha Lee “Nina” Gaddy; her husband, G.W. Jackson, Jr.; and favorite cousin, Lucille “Aunt C” Bainard. Gwen was dearly loved by everyone who knew her. We will miss her so, and cherish her memory always. A Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, March 14, 2018, 11 AM at Crossroads Presbyterian Church (6031 W. Chapel Hill Rd.), Mequon. A Visitation will be held at the church on Wednesday, from 10 AM until time of service. The family thanks the remarkable people at Lasata Senior Living Campus in Cedarburg for the kind and competent care they gave her in her final months.
