Gregory H. Bartel

Gregory H. Bartel Of Saukville, passed away peacefully, on November 8, 2016, at the age of 68 years. Gregory was born in Milwaukee, on February 13, 1948, the son of the late Lester Sr. and the late Margaret (nee Luedtke) Bartel. Gregory worked for Charter Steel for 22 years having multiple positions. He was a Torchman, Steel Pourer, Strand Operator, and finally a Quality Control Lab Technician. Gregory enjoyed shooting pool and darts, watching movies, grilling, and cooking. He also loved babysitting the granddog Karma. Gregory is survived by his children, Roxanne (Jack) Borrok and Ryan (Amanda Kranz) Bartel; grandchildren, Evelyn and Benjamin Borrok; and brothers, Jeffrey (Cheri) Bartel and Lester Jr. (Bonnie) Bartel. He is further survived by other relatives and friends. Gregory was preceded in death by his brother, Wayne Bartel. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 19, 2016 – 5 PM at Mueller Funeral Home (979 N. Green Bay Rd.), Grafton. The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 19, 2016, at the funeral home, from 3 PM until the time of service. A reception will be held following the service at the American Legion Rose-Harms Post 355 (1540 13th Ave.), Grafton. Memorials to the Healing Point House Scholarship Fund are appreciated. The family would like to thank the medical and nursing staff at St. Mary’s Ozaukee Hospital in Mequon, as well as the staff at Heritage Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, in Port Washington, for their professional and compassionate work for Greg in his final days.
